The Azolla Story was written by a father and daughter who care deeply about the future of our planet, including that of our children and our cousins, the other species who share our beautiful world.
Dr Jonathan Bujak is a palaeontologist with more than 100 scientific publications. He was involved with the 2004 Arctic Coring Expedition (ACEX) to the North Pole and its discovery of the Azolla Event that triggered the change from a greenhouse world of the dinosaurs to our icehouse world with its permanent glaciation at both poles.
Alexandra Bujak is an environmental scientist who is developing azolla’s potential to help us weather today’s Perfect Storm, including azolla’s ability to sequester the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and convert it into local renewable food, biofertilizer, livestock feed and biofuel.
Alexandra and Jonathan co-founded Azolla Biosystems and the Azolla Foundation to disseminate information about azolla and develop a global network to promote its use. The Foundation now has thousands of associates ranging from smallholder farmers in India to world-renowned geneticists in North America.
They published The Azolla Story as an ebook in December 2020.
